INDONESIAN STONE CURRENCY DISK
Carved stone discs, some more than 13 feet in diameter, are an ancient form of currency in Indonesia and Oceania. The hole at the center allows them to be strung on a pole and presented in a formal transaction. Hand carved of natural stone, our small-scale reproductions capture the sculptural form and time-touched character of antique artifacts.
