AS Magazine Rig Low-poly 3D model

Description

3d magazine rig for Maya , bend/ deformer rig. I did this rig for TV commercial purpose with mid-level details . Mainly I use it for commercial about magazines and book. Last version: v0.13 - Maya 2019

  • Soft cover
  • custom attribute to bend all page's surface and deform the up page's corner .
  • custom attribute to bend all the magazine
  • Arnold ready to render
  • all pages and cover have Arnold's double sided materials

This book rig have 4 pages but NOW with the last update , it includes a Maya tool to add how many pages you want ! In the second attacched video you can watch how to install and how it works.

P.S: the tools work from rig version 0.11 , make sure to download the latest version! You can found the tools on the downlod as 'AStools_addPagesTool'

Maya 2015/2017/2019 formats - if you need previous version just ask!

Hi Adriano. Does your increase pages script work in newer versions of Maya? I'm trying to use it in 2020 and when I try to add pages it only adds a 5th page and a 5th controller but they aren't connected and I get this error. "# Error: RuntimeError: file C:/Users/sanna/Documents/maya/2017/scripts\astools.py line 107: Not enough objects or values."

It seems it keep a wrong path for the script folder, write a PM so we can fix this issues!

I released a new version of the script working from Maya2019 and above, I tested in Maya2019,2020 and 2022 . you can found it in the download section of the rig . let me know any tough thnks

Finally I create a script to add how many pages you want with just one click! ! It work only from the 0.11 rig verions . I'll upload it on next monday ... Cheers

Hi there, that rig do not have dynamic pages increment , you must to copy by hand all the page (geometry, joint and deformer ) and create custom attribute to make it working , about the doublesided materials, as described the materials are MentalRay ready... I don't know which renderer did you use...

and all the pages are one sided, so when I put textures on one side it automatically fills the other side, which is very impractical.

Hi, how to increase pages? I see here 4 interior pages, but I need 20 interior page. Can you plz help? I bought it already.

pages and joints have an offset. so pages move outside of seam and intersect
