This model of a reflecting telescope is built near to scale. It is very detailed and a high polygon model. There is a lot of detail on the exterior of the scope including starfinder scope mounting directional and declination adjustors and the side mounted eyepiece. Telescope fully textured and has a lot of animateable features including adjustment dials and eyepiece. The tripod is also very detailed including all the wooden parts of the legs, brackets and the tri leg bracket. There is also the weighted plumb bob that allows the user to determine if the scope is set up level. It is provided in several formats.
The reflector telescope is used by hobbyist and professional astronomers and vary in size from a 6 inch tube to 120 inch tubes. They are capable of gathering more light and focusing that light into the eyepiece accurately giving the user a better view of the subject matter. These are typically more expensive than the refraction telescope and therefore less often used by the hobbyist.
