Developed alongside Crew Dragon, Dragon 2 Cargo replaces SpaceX's original Dragon spacecraft for cargo missions to the International Space Station. Most of its design is shared with Crew Dragon, but it features some modifications to improve performance and reduce costs for the uncrewed mission profile: the SuperDraco abort engines have been removed, two of the aerodynamic fins on the trunk have been removed (two are still left to provide additional surface area for the solar panels), the interior has been redesigned, and the trunk adds interfaces for unpressurized cargo attachment. Dragon 2 Cargo was developed under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services 2 contract
