Right now, solar sails are in their infancy, only really used to carry cameras and small probes. But one day, in the not too distant future, maybe solar sails will carry people between solar systems. This is concept art for one such ship. This ship could easily be an intergenerational ship visiting a solar system for the first time, or it could be a cargo ship on a routine mission. It's up to you! The sails of this are roughly 100 meters in diameter, from the end of one sail to the end of another. The body of the ship is around 70 meters long. The ship features a central docking port and thrusters along the base, and a suport system of poles holding the sails up. The materials in this model are gold with a fabrac detailing, a brushed metal texture for the body, and black glass for the windows.
