Description

The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is a NASA mission which has been observing the Sun since 2010.[4] Launched on February 11, 2010, the observatory is part of the Living With a Star (LWS) program.[5]The goal of the LWS program is to develop the scientific understanding necessary to effectively address those aspects of the connected Sun–Earth system directly affecting life and society. A highly-detailed and accurate model of the Solar Dynamics Observatory, this model was created in 3D Studio Max 2016 with Vray 3.60.03 and a basic setup is included in the scene. Some of the preview renders were captured from Substance Painter where the materials were created.

The model is setup with Vray materials that end up in a multi-sub-material, all uniquely unwrapped for best resolution and flexibility. Textures are 4K resolution per piece, featuring Diffuse, Glossiness, Height, IOR, Normal and Reflection.

Exports of FBX, ABC and OBJ are also included, as well as a quick render sequence.
