Two stage Safir or "Messenger/Ambassador" Space Launch Vehicle (SLV)
The Iranian Space Agency two stage Safir SLV is based on the Shahab family of rockets/missiles. The Safir launch it's first payload, the Omid satellite, into a low Earth orbit in February 2009. Capable of carrying a 50kg (110lb) payload, future blocks of the Safir suggest designs to a three stage SLV to reach a sustainable Earth orbit.
