RFA Argo Spacecraft 3D model

Argo is a planned European cargo spacecraft in development by Rocket Factory Augsburg, under ESA's Commercial Cargo Transportation Initiative. It is a fully-reusable capsule, capable of delivering up to 4 tons of pressurized cargo to and from a station in low Earth orbit. For reentry, the entire vehicle is protected behind an inflatable heat shield/decelerator, which also provides enough drag and buoyancy to perform a soft splashdown without needing parachutes. Argo is capable of flying on any medium-heavy launch vehicle, but is expected to fly on RFA's own next-generation rocket. An initial demonstration flight to the International Space Station is planned for 2028, after which operational flights would be conducted to commercial stations (principally developed under NASA's Commercial LEO Destinations program)
