The TRW Incorporated Orbital Maneuvering Vehicle was a proposed augmentation of the Space Shuttle/Space Transportation System architecture. It would have effectively increased the Shuttle's operating range, by allowing satellites to be robotically retrieved for servicing and delivered to lower orbits. Simple tug operations also could have been performed without requiring astronaut involvement, and long-term use as a semipermanent spacecraft service module was also proposed. It would have also been complemented by an Orbital Transfer Vehicle, likely derived from the Centaur upper stage and capable of much larger manuevers and longer duration, refuelable operation.
This file includes the basic OMV spacecraft (with separable propulsion module), as well as the extended-duration mission kit (larger paddle-style solar arrays) and cryogenic propellant depot kit
All materials and textures are packed in the .blend file, image textures are also included separately as a .zip file. Unapplied modifiers and instancing have been used to reduce file size and enable easy editing.
