Northrop Grumman CLD Station

Northrop Grumman CLD Station 3D model

Description

This space station design was proposed by Northrop Grumman for NASA's Commercial LEO Destinations development program. It builds primarily off heritage from their Cygnus cargo vehicle line, as well as Northrop's work on the Habitat And Logistics Outpost (HALO) module for the Gateway station. At least three modules are planned: An inital module based on a stretched Cygnus pressurized module, a wider module based on Thales Alenia's 4.6 meter diameter tooling from the International Space Station program, and a small airlock module also based on Cygnus tooling. The two large modules both have independent power and propulsion, provided by service modules derived from those planned for HALO (prior to HALO being comanifested with the PPE) and Exploration Cygnus. A combination of IDS and CBMs are used for module and visiting vehicle attachment.

For logistics, Cygnus would provide cargo delivery, and crew would launch aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon

All materials and textures are packed into the .blend file. Unapplied modifiers and instancing have been used to reduce file size and enable easy editing.
