Navy/NASA Two stage Sounding Rocket

Designed as a US Sounding Rocket, the Nike Asp had a flight altitude of 220km. The rocket was both launched from land and ship in the late 1950s to study solar ecliptic and X-rays. The rocket became discontinued once handed over to NASA.
