This space station is under development by Axiom Space. Initial work was performed under NASA's NextSTEP program, and later under the Commercial LEO Destinations development program. Axiom's core modules are of ISS heritage, with pressure vessels built by Thales Alenia on the same tooling used for many of the ISS European and American modules. Several distinct module types are included: Two node modules, a habitat module, a power/utility module, at least two Pressurized Mating Adapters used to convert Common Berthing Mechanism ports to International Docking System ports, a large Cupola, a Research Module formed from a surplus ISS/Shuttle MPLM and EXPRESS Logistics Carrier, and the inflatable SEE-1 module built for Space Entertainment Enterprise. Unique among the CLD proposals, Axiom's station would have initial assembly and outfitting performed at the existing International Space Station, then would separate prior to ISS's decommissioning.
Note that Axiom has shown numerous possible configurations of this station, though with the same basic modules for each. The configuration included here is current as of December 2022
