Ariane X was a 1980s-era launch vehicle concept from Arianespace and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm. It was a propulsively-landing, two-stage reusable rocket, with heritage from the then-planned Ariane 4 and 5 rockets. Both stages used a capsule shape with their nine hydrogen-oxygen engines embedded into a heat shield, which also provided limited performance improvements via the aerospike effect
While Ariane X initially bears little resemblance to Ariane 4, it actually uses a cluster of Ariane 4-derived propellant tanks in its booster stage, surrounded by an outer aeroshell
A few versions of Ariane X were proposed, with different degrees of reusability. The one included in this model was the fully-reusable version
Modifers and instancing have been used to reduce file size and allow easy editing. All materials and textures are packed into the .blend file, and a separate zip file of textures is also included
