This alien spacecraft is used by the Bletin people who come from the planet Narthek in the Epsilon Indi solar system (in the ebook Travellers by Charles G. Dyer) . It can fly equally well in any planetary atmosphere as in space. Its intended use is for clandestine spying missions or reconnaissance. However, there is nothing to stop you from using it in your world, wherever that may be and it could just as easily serve as a transporter or a fighter.
