DESCRIPTION

RS1 is ABL Space Systems' first orbital rocket. RS1 is an expendable small-satellite launch vehicle, targeting 1.35 tons of payload to low Earth orbit. Both stages are powered by ABL's internally-developed E-2 rocket engine. A major design objective is to support containerized, low-infrastructure launches, in which the vehicle and its associated support equipment can be transported to an essentially empty unprepared plot and conduct a launch. This capability is desirable for national security launches to provide assured access to space even in scenarios where typical launch sites are destroyed.

All materials and textures are packed in the .blend file. Instancing and unapplied modifiers have been used to reduce file size and enable easy editing.
