This model of a realistic exoplanet is one of those moons/exoplanets one might expect to find in orbits of far away stars. Similar to the moons Europa and Enceladus orbiting our gas giants, this moon is an icy moon with a liquid ocean underneath. The cracks are caused by the liquid water underneath in a similar way as plate tectonics is caused by movements in magma on earth. The planet has a bleu hue created by ether metal oxides, or from oxygenated water ice, indicating possible life. Which one i will leave to the imagination. Thanks to the HD textures and the low poly construction, this model can be used both as a far away background model, as well as a model for close up use.
Technical information
In real life, this planet would have a diameter of around 2.000 km in diameter. Some 3d programs do not display objects of this size very well. In order to avoid complications, and because most users want to decide the exact diameter themselves, the model itself is not scaled to the real life size.
