Have you ever needed to create a night-time scene yet can't seem to find the perfect HDRI to use? No problem! This is a fully accurate star map, created by using a stellarium image as a basis. You can customize the scale of the scene by selecting the empty (controller) and simply pressing S. You can simulate time passing by rotating the empty. The night sky background color can be customized, and even the color of the stars or their brightness is fully customizable.
In the past, I've used HDRI images to simulate the night sky in my renders and they have taken anywhere from 500mb - 1.5GB of memory away from my renders! You can see via the YouTube preview video that not only is this star map fully customizable but you can also save heaps of memory by simply rendering with this vs an HDRI.
