Description
Rock Generator V2 Plugin for 3dsMax
- This script generates procedural random shaped rocks both low poly and highpoly.
- Lowpoly mesh matches too close to highpoly mesh so you can easily bake normal map from highpoly to lowpoly.
- Lowpoly mesh is automatic relaxed uvw mapped.
- Lowpoly mesh has clear non-overlapping uvs.
- You can change advanced parameters or you can simply click random seed then click generate detailed rock it will give totally different results.

If you want to create same rock more than once, you can use same seed number to generate rock. Use live parameters to quickly adjust shape and details. Live resize mode has been added. You can now create asteroid like rock shapes You can use manual edit tool to manipulate rock shape You can use intensity slider to negative values for interesting effects

It will work with 3dsmax 2017.
3dsmax 2016 and upper is recommended but since it is a maxscript based plugin, it should work with 3dsmax 2012 and upper. We didn't tested it with a version older than 2012. But always, newer versions of 3dsmax makes the scripts run more stable and faster.

This script has been working really well for me so far. I've been using it with 3ds Max 2019 and haven't run into any big problems. The rocks are fairly round and you can edit the rock manually with FFD 3x3x3. You can't go for more square rocks to build a nice modern chimney or modern wall, but it works great if you're doing some boulders or a rough English dry stone wall in the countryside.
I was having a bit of trouble with the create low poly tool. It duplicates the rock, but doesn't scale down the vertex to what you preset before calculating. I got around this with just adding the pro-optimizer modifier and lowering it through that.
