This is a hypothetical mockup of a miniaturized fusion reactor of the Tokamak design. Build around a central torus, the magnetic field is stabilized by the poloidal field coils (the copper coil surrounding the torus). A central magnetic core (with standardized red/blue coloring) in the center of the torus inductively captures the field energy from the deuterium-deuterium thermonuclear reactions in the core for use as electrical energy elsewhere. There is a small centripetal injection port along the side of the ring where fuel is injected for fusion.
This model is perfect to use for science fiction props when reactors are needed. This model was created using Autodesk Fusion 360, and the following file formats are provided:
.sat.smt.step.iges
As a bonus, a .csv file with some of the math is included!
Model dimensions are 80 cm x 100 cm x 75 cm.
