Description

A Crookes Radiometer, also known as a light mill. Composed of a glass bulb with a partial vacuum, and a set of metal vanes mounted inside that can spin. Used as an educational aid or curiosity.

Accurately modelled based on reference photos, with care taken to ensure the model makes sense if it were manufactured in real-life.

Suitable for use as a prop.

  • Glass bulb geometry can be subdivided. Vanes can not be subdivided without modifcations.
  • Three materials included (glass, shiny metal, vane), no textures, but mesh is fully unwrapped for each material.
  • Approximately 12cm tall, 8cm wide.
  • Created in Blender, units used: metres.
