Diazepam (CAS: 439-14-5; formula: C16H13ClN2O; aka: valium) is a member of the benzodiazepine family. It is used to treat a range of conditions including anxiety, alcohol withdrawal, muscle spasms, seizures and sleeping problems. It is a regulated, prescription drug.
