This is an animation of a kinesin walking protein. The walk is looping so you can have it walking kilometers if you want to! Please notice that I used the octane scatter for the microtubule it's working on. This way it is really fast to render but you will have to use a regular cloner if you want to use it with another renderer than octane.
There is also an alembic you can use in a different 3d software such as Houdini. You can watch the attached video kinesinWalk_usingAlembicInHoudini.flv to see how it works in Houdini (it's listed as Other). Notice that, in this case, you will have to set up the hdri and shaders as they are not transferable from one software to the other.
::Update 29.11.2020:: There is also a fbx file I exported directly from c4d and tested in 3ds max. Some previous comments about the fbx file not working were because it was the auto-generated file from cg-trader. Please use the kinesinWalk_25fps_[0-213].fbx file. Notice that, in this case, you will have to set up the hdri and shaders as they are not transferable through the fbx file.
