Dopamine molecule

Dopamine molecule 3D model

Description

Dopamine (formula: C8H11NO2; CAS: 51-61-6; systematic name: 4-(2-aminoethyl)benzene-1,2-diol) is an organic amine found naturally in plants and most animals. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter — a chemical released by neurons to send signals to other nerve cells. The anticipation of rewards increases the level of dopamine in the brain and many addictive drugs increase dopamine release or block its reuptake into neurons following release.

This molecule is provided in three standard representations and includes a simulated electrostatic (van der Waals) surface. The whole model is provided as a C4D scene, all objects are editable primitives or metaball objects.
