Often armed with his mythical cloth sack, like in this statue, Budai (or 'Hotei' in Japanese) often aims to help, inspire and bring joy to people. Budai is also know as the Laughing, Happy -or - in this case most suitably - Fat Buddha.

Budai is incorporated in the Shinto, Taoist and Buddhist culture and is a god of happiness and plenty.

The height of this statue is ~ 60 cm (~24 inch).
