Ficus Pumila: Creeping FigFicus Pumila is a species ofwoody evergreen in the mulberry family Native to China, Japan and Vietnam. It is commonly cultivated as a houseplant, growing up to 13 ft on any surfaces it can attach itself to. For this reason it is a popular choice on vertical gardens and green walls. The aerial roots secrete a translucent latex that hardens on drying, allowing the sticks to adhere to their support, and can be an invasive species in warm climates. The fruit of Ficus Pumila is used to form a jelly that is popular in Singapore and Taiwan.
