Description
  • The Sophora japonica tree, commonly known as the Japanese pagoda tree or Chinese scholar tree, is a medium to large-sized deciduous tree native to China and Korea. It is widely cultivated for its attractive foliage, beautiful flowers, and ornamental value. The tree can reach a height of 50 to 75 feet and has a spreading, rounded crown. Its fern-like compound leaves have a vibrant green color and turn yellow in the fall. The fragrant, creamy white flowers bloom in late summer, forming clusters that hang from the branches.
