Name: Seashore Palm LowPoly

Scientific: Allagoptera arenaria

A.K.A.: Caxandó, Côco-da-praia

This Variation: 1 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.

Notes: A small palm often found in sandy dunes along tropical and sub-tropical beaches. It has a subterranean trunk rarely seen above ground. Fossil records show this is a very old plant, probably predating all other palms. Endemic to the east side of Brazil, it has since spread to many tropical and sub-tropical beaches. Grows in sandy soils, particularly beach-side, in tropical and sub-tropical regions.

  5. Dead -- 1,318 polygons, 2,468 vertices -- 34.66cm tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
  6. Ancient -- 8,517 polygons, 16,405 vertices -- 2.11m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
  7. Young -- 5,943 polygons, 12,638 vertices -- 1.45m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
  8. Immature -- 2,313 polygons, 5,382 vertices -- 95.11cm tall. Very small and young plant.
  9. Seedling -- 999 polygons, 2,733 vertices -- 46.37cm tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
  10. Lower Poly -- 4,940 polygons, 11,137 vertices -- 1.64m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
