Description

Name: River Redgum

Scientific: Eucalyptus camaldulensis

A.K.A.: River Red Gum, Murray Redgum, Blue Gum, Cape-York-Red-Gum

This Variation: 1 of 5. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.

Notes: This is an iconic Australian tree and the most abundant on the continent. It is widespread throughout the continent, especially beside inland water courses, whether alongside permanent water-sources, or seasonal. It can very quickly grow to 30-45m. The tree is often extremely gnarled when it grows next to a poor or intermittent water source and is considerably straighter when it has access to constant water. It is a very popular plantation species that is grown the world over. In many countries, it has escaped into the wild, where it is a prolific invasive species. The tree has been unintentionally introduced to North America, Europe and Asia.

Included in this Package: 12 models in total

  1. Standard -- 14,784 polygons, 21,815 vertices, 33.92m tall. Fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
  2. Thriving -- 17,378 polygons, 25,950 vertices, 33.92m tall. Peak health.
  3. Distressed -- 12,110 polygons, 17,539 vertices, 33.12m tall. Declining health with some diseased and broken foliage.
  4. Unhealthy -- 9,265 polygons, 13,220 vertices, 33.12m tall. Poor state with considerable foliage missing or diseased.
  5. Dying -- 7,262 polygons, 10,272 vertices, 33.12m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
  6. Dead -- 5,334 polygons, 7,575 vertices, 33.12m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
  7. Ancient -- 19,712 polygons, 29,061 vertices, 36.89m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
  8. Young -- 6,564 polygons, 10,019 vertices, 26.88m tall. Smaller plant, fully mature but still growing.
  9. Growing -- 2,651 polygons, 4,372 vertices, 13.54m tall. Plant not yet mature, some half way through its growing cycle.
  10. Immature -- 409 polygons, 737 vertices, 5.56m tall. Very small and young plant.
  11. Forming -- 83 polygons, 159 vertices, 1.85m tall. Extremely young and small but taking on its adult shape.
  12. Sapling -- 73 polygons, 141 vertices, 64.95cm tall. Recently sprouted.

Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k can also be downloaded.
