Notes: Probably the best known mangrove tree, this plant is characterised by its stilt roots giving it the well-known mangrove appearance. Its seeds fully develop on the plant before dropping and surviving up to a year in salt-water, hence it's ability to colonise new territories. Found in estuarine ecosystems throughout the tropics. Widespread throughout the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, Oceania, Australia, and other places. This plant thrives on coastlines in brackish water and in swampy salt-marshes in tropical and sub-tropical climates.

8. Young -- 221,627 polygons, 260,283 vertices, 13.04m tall. Smaller plant, fully mature but still growing.
9. Growing -- 147,611 polygons, 174,492 vertices, 8.35m tall. Plant not yet mature, some half way through its growing cycle.
