DESCRIPTION

Name: Portia Tree LowPoly

Scientific: Thespesia populnea

A.K.A.: Pacific Rosewood, Indian Tulip Tree, Polynesian Rosewood, Seychelles Rosewood, Spanish Cork, Bendytree, Cork-Tree, Corktree

This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.

Notes: A tree found commonly on coasts around the world. Although it is confirmed to be native only to the Old World tropics, other authorities consider it to have a wider, possibly pantropical native distribution. Found along tropical coastlines and adapted for oceanic dispersal and growth in island environments. It is known from both coasts of Africa, tropical Asia, northern Australia, the Pacific Islands (including Hawaii), the tropical Pacific coast of the Americas from Mexico south to Colombia, the West Indies, and Florida in the United States. Typically it reaches a height of 6–10m and grows at elevations from sea level to 275m in areas that receive 500–1,600mm of annual rainfall. It is able to grow in the wide range of soil types that may be present in coastal environments, including soils derived from quartz (sand), limestone, and basalt.

  8. Uprooted -- 11,551 polygons, 14,335 vertices, 3.34m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
  9. Ancient -- 32,338 polygons, 56,175 vertices, 10.03m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
  10. Young -- 22,067 polygons, 41,577 vertices, 7.72m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
  11. Immature -- 1,493 polygons, 2,468 vertices, 3.43m tall. Very small and young plant.
  12. Sapling -- 443 polygons, 718 vertices, 67.23cm tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
  13. Lower Poly -- 23,766 polygons, 46,051 vertices, 8.26m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  14. Higher Poly -- 36,054 polygons, 60,632 vertices, 8.26m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).

Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.

Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal

No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
