Notes: A small, sparsely branched tree, usually with a single stem growing from 5 to 10m, with spirally arranged leaves confined to the top of the trunk. The lower trunk is conspicuously scarred where leaves and fruit were borne. All plant parts contain latex in articulated laticifers. Native to tropical America, papaya originates from southern Mexico and Central America. Papaya cultivation is now nearly pantropical, spanning Hawaii, central Africa, India, and Australia. In the wild, it is widely distributed throughout tropical and warm subtropical regions.

8. Uprooted -- 8,846 polygons, 11,650 vertices. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
9. Ancient -- 23,249 polygons, 32,545 vertices. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
10. Young -- 5,123 polygons, 7,550 vertices. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
11. Immature -- 1,527 polygons, 2,335 vertices. Very small and young plant.
12. Sapling -- 197 polygons, 336 vertices. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
13. Lower Poly -- 3,900 polygons, 5,854 vertices. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
14. Higher Poly -- 16,404 polygons, 21,608 vertices. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
