Notes: A small, sparsely branched tree, usually with a single stem growing from 5 to 10m, with spirally arranged leaves confined to the top of the trunk. The lower trunk is conspicuously scarred where leaves and fruit were borne. All plant parts contain latex in articulated laticifers. Native to tropical America, papaya originates from southern Mexico and Central America. Papaya cultivation is now nearly pantropical, spanning Hawaii, central Africa, India, and Australia. In the wild, it is widely distributed throughout tropical and warm subtropical regions.

8. Uprooted -- 79,033 polygons, 94,464 vertices. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
9. Ancient -- 185,256 polygons, 221,155 vertices. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
10. Young -- 64,559 polygons, 78,343 vertices. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
11. Immature -- 14,761 polygons, 18,345 vertices. Very small and young plant.
12. Sapling -- 2,322 polygons, 2,983 vertices. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
13. Lower Poly -- 17,282 polygons, 22,250 vertices. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
14. Higher Poly -- 350,594 polygons, 404,849 vertices. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
