Description
Name: Kauri Pine LowPoly
Scientific: Agathis robusta
This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: Although called a pine it is not a true pine, having leaves rather than needles. It is a large evergreen tree with a straight cylindrical trunk which can often reach a height of 30–40m. The bark is orange-brown to grey-brown, smooth, but shedding in large flakes. The tree grows in rainforests on well-drained soils of various types, at elevations up to 1,100m; it occurs in three distinct locations - a southern population in southeast Queensland in the regions around Gympie, Maryborough, and K'gari (Fraser Island); another population in northeast Queensland in the regions from Ingham to Cooktown, including the Atherton Tablelands; and the third in New Guinea. The north Queensland population was formerly recognised as Agathis palmerstonii, but is now considered to be synonymous with the southern grouping.

Lower Poly -- 7,893 polygons, 16,180 vertices -- 40.31m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 26,680 polygons, 42,636 vertices -- 40.31m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 17,761 polygons, 31,050 vertices -- 40.31m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 31,658 polygons, 28,478 vertices -- 40.31m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 21,969 polygons, 34,461 vertices -- 40.31m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
