Description
Name: Indian Rubber Tree
Scientific: Ficus elastica
This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.
Notes: A large tree in the banyan group of figs, growing to 30–40m typically and occassionally to 60m. The trunk develops aerial and buttressing roots to anchor it in the soil and help support heavy branches. All parts of the plant contain an abundant milky white latex, which has been tested for use in the manufacture of rubber, but without economic and technical results. It is native to eastern parts of South and Southeast Asia and has become naturalized in Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Florida. It has since been introduced to many other tropical and sub-tropical areas. It is grown as an ornamental the world over.

-
Lower Poly -- 141,975 polygons, 230,540 vertices -- 42.63m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 1,114,123 polygons, 1,422,159 vertices -- 42.74m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 532,248 polygons, 727,183 vertices -- 42.71m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 942,356 polygons, 653,932 vertices -- 42.71m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 328,027 polygons, 431,894 vertices -- 42.63m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
