Description
Name: Coconut Palm LowPoly
Scientific: Cocos nucifera
This Variation: 3 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: Long held synonymous with tropical beach paradises, the coconut palm is an important source of food and building material for many peoples of the world. Evidence suggests it has been cultivated since prehistoric times. Its trunk, though tree like, is actually not wood, but a fibrous collection of overlapping stems. It is extremely widespread, found in virtually all tropical and sub-tropical areas the world over. The plant is highly salinity tolerant, making it a primary coastal plant in the tropics where it grows on sandy soil. The seed (coconut) can float in the ocean for up to one year before reaching landfall to colonise a new area.
Included in this Package: 16 models in total
-
Standard -- 9,284 polygons, 15,938 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 9,825 polygons, 16,916 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 8,399 polygons, 13,992 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 7,070 polygons, 11,897 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 3,283 polygons, 4,536 vertices -- 16.78m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Stump -- 283 polygons, 275 vertices -- 1.93m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
-
Uprooted -- 13,587 polygons, 16,922 vertices -- 4.95m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
-
Ancient -- 10,546 polygons, 17,677 vertices -- 25.97m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 6,813 polygons, 12,016 vertices -- 11.43m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 1,708 polygons, 3,121 vertices -- 5.32m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 516 polygons, 1,074 vertices -- 2.06m tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 5,779 polygons, 11,153 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 14,081 polygons, 22,241 vertices -- 22.93m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 9,457 polygons, 17,786 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 14,955 polygons, 15,678 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 6,589 polygons, 11,950 vertices -- 22.93m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
