EVERYPlant Coconut Palm 2 --16 Models-- 3D model

Description

Name: Coconut Palm

Scientific: Cocos nucifera

This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.

Notes: Long held synonymous with tropical beach paradises, the coconut palm is an important source of food and building material for many peoples of the world. Evidence suggests it has been cultivated since prehistoric times. Its trunk, though tree like, is actually not wood, but a fibrous collection of overlapping stems. It is extremely widespread, found in virtually all tropical and sub-tropical areas the world over. The plant is highly salinity tolerant, making it a primary coastal plant in the tropics where it grows on sandy soil. The seed (coconut) can float in the ocean for up to one year before reaching landfall to colonise a new area.

Included in this Package: 16 models in total

  1. Standard -- 177,268 polygons, 274,306 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
  2. Thriving -- 182,501 polygons, 283,451 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Peak health.
  3. Unhealthy -- 161,313 polygons, 245,159 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
  4. Dying -- 129,269 polygons, 196,046 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
  5. Dead -- 70,120 polygons, 94,574 vertices -- 20.52m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
  6. Stump -- 9,241 polygons, 11,121 vertices -- 9.98m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
  7. Uprooted -- 115,498 polygons, 157,714 vertices -- 5.61m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
  8. Ancient -- 201,661 polygons, 309,148 vertices -- 30.14m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
  9. Young -- 127,337 polygons, 201,095 vertices -- 13.43m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
  10. Immature -- 45,143 polygons, 73,271 vertices -- 4.59m tall. Very small and young plant.
  11. Sapling -- 12,353 polygons, 20,247 vertices -- 1.18m tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
  12. Lower Poly -- 54,980 polygons, 102,459 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  13. Higher Poly -- 385,841 polygons, 541,833 vertices -- 26.62m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  14. Quads -- 180,679 polygons, 289,727 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  15. Triangles -- 329,005 polygons, 272,976 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  16. Uniform Mesh -- 295,218 polygons, 440,355 vertices -- 26.62m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).

Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.

EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
