Description
Name: Australian Fan Palm LowPoly
Scientific: Licuala ramsayi
This Variation: 2 of 4. _This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.
Notes: A distinctive palm with a single trunk to 16m. It has large, pleated, circular leaves up to 2m in diameter. The fruits are a red drupe containing a single seed. It is endemic to northeastern Queensland, Australia where it grows in swamps, along riverbanks, and in rainforests. In favourable conditions it may dominate small areas, forming a fan palm forest. Trees provided an edible cabbage to Aboriginals, as well as thatch, food wrapping, and cigarette papers (from young leaves). Fruits are eaten by cassowaries.
Included in this Package: 16 models in total
-
Standard -- 13,882 polygons, 15,886 vertices -- 18.48m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 13,865 polygons, 15,860 vertices -- 18.48m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 11,395 polygons, 13,086 vertices -- 18.44m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 8,516 polygons, 9,638 vertices -- 18.03m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 8,026 polygons, 8,776 vertices -- 17.57m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
-
Stump -- 5,810 polygons, 5,994 vertices -- 12.06m tall. A dead plant with its trunk broken and missing.
-
Uprooted -- 15,773 polygons, 17,114 vertices -- 2.52m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side.
-
Ancient -- 11,632 polygons, 13,448 vertices -- 19.87m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled.
-
Young -- 4,990 polygons, 6,118 vertices -- 8.4m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 4,661 polygons, 5,054 vertices -- 2.33m tall. Very small and young plant.
-
Sapling -- 3,017 polygons, 2,955 vertices -- 52.95cm tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 9,996 polygons, 11,783 vertices -- 18.48m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 14,896 polygons, 17,107 vertices -- 18.48m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 10,772 polygons, 14,568 vertices -- 18.48m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 21,061 polygons, 13,972 vertices -- 18.48m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 13,326 polygons, 15,752 vertices -- 18.48m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
