Notes: An extinct prehistoric plant whose foliage resembled that of modern ferns, but which reproduced by means of seeds.The earliest fossil evidence for this plant come from the late Carbonferious. They flourished throughout the Permian and declined during the Mesozoic Era and had disappeared by the end of the Cretaceous Period.
