UPDATE 27th Oct. 2024 Added C4D/Redshift version with materials created from scratch for Redshift to maintain the same high quality as Maxwell and Vray versions.
This set consists of 23 models of autumn leaves together with 8 high quality textures per leaf (184 textures in total), of both the front an back face of each leaf.
The low polygon geometry mimics the shapes of the different leaves to avoid unrealistic flat looking textured leaves. The geometry closely follows the opacity mask of the textures to avoid excessive render times with many overlapping opacity mapped objects.
Included files are:
all 184 textures (front/back Albedo, front/back Translucency, front/back Normal. Plus an opacity mask and thickness map for each leaf)
Files compatible with Redshift (2025.1.1), Vray (3.6+) and 3dsMax (2016 or later) and Maxwell (3.2+) and 3dsMax (2016 or later).
Vray and Maxwell materials already applied in the respective scenes and .mat libraries for Vray and Maxwell provided.
-.c4d file of all 23 individual leaves in one scene.
.max file of all 23 individual leaves in one scene (1 Vray .max file, 1 Maxwell .max file).
.max files of 8 'patches' of leaves which you can use with your favorite scattering plugin to quickly create landscapes of scattered leaves (see product images of the patches available). These patches have been created using rigid body simulation to make the leaves stack on top of each other realistically. There are also two pile patches of leaves which are great for scattering along sidewalks to mimic the way leaves pile up at the borders of sidewalks. This way you can get a realistic effect, because scattering plugins usually can't accurately stack objects on top of each other.
same 8 patches in FBX format.
same 8 patches in MXS (Maxwell scene file) format. These are very useful to load as MXS references in any 3D application that has a Maxwell plugin (including C4D, Sketchup, FormZ, Maya, Modo, Revit, ArchiCad) and thus allowing you to use them in those applications without having to do any extra work (MXS files include the materials assignments already).
individual leaves in OBJ and MXS format
7 Skatter presets for Maxwell included (Skatter is a great scattering plugin for Sketchup)
standalone MXM (Maxwell material files) included
NOTE: Any time you wish to use the included MXS files as references in your scene, just make sure the textures folder is in the same folder as the MXS files. This way Maxwell will find them and you wont get any missing texture errors.
