Common Plantain (Plantago maior)

Origin : Europe, Northern Africa
Environment : path sides, wasteland, pasturelands compressed, poor soil
Climate : large climate range

Notes :
The Common Plantain prefers growing on soils, which are compressed by walking and it stands winter flooding. If the weather is humid, the seeds become congested and in this condition they stick to paws and shoes. Native Americans called it footprint of the white man, because the first settlers brought it all over the continent.
