Description
Name: Cheatgrass
Scientific: Bromus tectorum
This Variation: 4 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.
Notes: Though native to Eurasia, this is one of the mosy invasive weeds known, and has colonised virtually the entire world. It grows in many different climates and in almost any type of soil. In the eastern US this plant is common along roadsides and as a crop weed, further, it has become a dominant species in the Intermountain West and parts of Canada, and displays especially invasive behavior in the sagebrush steppe ecosystems of the Great Basin. The plant often enters a site in an area that has been disturbed, and then quickly expands into the surrounding area through its rapid growth and prolific seed production.
Included in this Package: 18 models in total
-
Standard -- 56,592 polygons, 62,533 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. A medium patch of plants that are mature and in relative health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 56,534 polygons, 62,467 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 46,374 polygons, 51,475 vertices -- 86.61m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 20,025 polygons, 46,040 vertices -- 71.18cm tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 6,002 polygons, 7,547 vertices -- 61.03cm tall. Showing only dead foliage.
-
Ancient -- 64,197 polygons, 71,511 vertices -- 1.1m tall. An old plant, taller than usual.
-
Young -- 25,165 polygons, 28,629 vertices -- 54.85cm tall. Smaller plant some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 1,888 polygons, 2,696 vertices -- 25.2cm tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect.
-
Seedling -- 887 polygons, 1,204 vertices -- 13.02cm tall. Very young plant just forming its first true leaves.
-
Single Plant -- 3,214 polygons, 3,587 vertices -- 64.66cm tall. Just one plant, isolated.
-
Smaller Patch -- 32,195 polygons, 35,512 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. A small patch containing a few plants.
-
Larger Patch -- 116,324 polygons, 128,396 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. A large patch with many plants.
-
Huge Patch -- 269,837 polygons, 298,162 vertices -- 95.7cm tall. A very large patch with a large abundance of plants.
-
Lower Poly -- 11,721 polygons, 12,375 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. Standard model with fewer polys to save system resources. Intended for mid or distant renders.
-
Higher Poly -- 137,716 polygons, 152,361 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. Standard model with more polys for greater detail. Intended for close-up renders.
-
Quads -- 67,409 polygons, 79,470 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 103,027 polygons, 59,960 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 181,392 polygons, 187,573 vertices -- 88.72cm tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
