Description
Name: Cheatgrass
Scientific: Bromus tectorum
This Variation: 3 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.
Notes: Though native to Eurasia, this is one of the mosy invasive weeds known, and has colonised virtually the entire world. It grows in many different climates and in almost any type of soil. In the eastern US this plant is common along roadsides and as a crop weed, further, it has become a dominant species in the Intermountain West and parts of Canada, and displays especially invasive behavior in the sagebrush steppe ecosystems of the Great Basin. The plant often enters a site in an area that has been disturbed, and then quickly expands into the surrounding area through its rapid growth and prolific seed production.
Included in this Package: 18 models in total
-
Standard -- 62,356 polygons, 68,902 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. A medium patch of plants that are mature and in relative health. Useable in most scenes.
-
Thriving -- 62,243 polygons, 68,751 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 40,232 polygons, 45,035 vertices -- 85.58m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 17,646 polygons, 20,594 vertices -- 64.48cm tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 6,698 polygons, 8,349 vertices -- 48.04cm tall. Showing only dead foliage.
-
Ancient -- 71,497 polygons, 79,480 vertices -- 1.12m tall. An old plant, taller than usual.
-
Young -- 27,705 polygons, 31,575 vertices -- 56.89cm tall. Smaller plant some half way through its maturing cycle.
-
Immature -- 2,161 polygons, 3,043 vertices -- 27.2cm tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect.
-
Seedling -- 1,036 polygons, 1,409 vertices -- 15.54cm tall. Very young plant just forming its first true leaves.
-
Single Plant -- 2,466 polygons, 2,755 vertices -- 65.21cm tall. Just one plant, isolated.
-
Smaller Patch -- 32,951 polygons, 36,418 vertices -- 86.12cm tall. A small patch containing a few plants.
-
Larger Patch -- 129,521 polygons, 142,846 vertices -- 93.28cm tall. A large patch with many plants.
-
Huge Patch -- 345,835 polygons, 381,206 vertices -- 93.28cm tall. A very large patch with a large abundance of plants.
-
Lower Poly -- 13,197 polygons, 13,921 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. Standard model with fewer polys to save system resources. Intended for mid or distant renders.
-
Higher Poly -- 152,267 polygons, 168,893 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. Standard model with more polys for greater detail. Intended for close-up renders.
-
Quads -- 74,860 polygons, 88,046 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 113,718 polygons, 66,138 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 200,640 polygons, 207,689 vertices -- 90.3cm tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded.
EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
