Cistus Pulverulentus: Magenta Rock RoseThe Magenta Rockrose is low spreading to mounding shrub, 18-24 in. tall and ranging 3-5 ft. across. The Rockrose family is native to the Mediterranean region. Colorful flowers are deep rose-magenta with yellow centers that cover the plant in spring. Foliage is comprised of pale green leaves that are covered with many small hairs and heavily textured. This rockrose cultivar is a popular choice for use as a ground cover on banks and in mixed understory plantings within traditional Mediterranean and southwestern garden plantings.
