I decided to make use of the hair feature in Blender to create this beautiful flower. After a few errors I managed to get all the pieces in the right spots and all of the unused pieces non-visible. The textures just came from the interent but most of the colors are just simple materials. The materials do have a bit of a natural looking bump map applied to them, but i turned the strength down until it looked good. The render with a CPU takes about a minute max. The render with a good GPU, I am using a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 Ti and the average time is around 15 seconds.
