Description
Name: Native Ginger
Scientific: Alpinia caerulea
This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.
Notes: This plant grows in rainforest, gallery forest and wet sclerophyll forest in eastern Australia. The plant has large arching stalks, each carries a number of large alternately arranged leaves. The inflorescence is terminal on the stalks, and contains numerous white flowers which occur from September to April. The fruit is a capsule which ripen in any month. The fruits are popular with a variety of birds including brush turkeys southern cassowaries, crimson rosellas, and many more. For the Kuku Yalanji people of far northern Queensland, this plant had many uses – the fruit and rhizomes were eaten, the leaves were used to cover their shelters and to wrap meat when cooking in earth ovens.
Included in this Package: 15 models in total
-
Standard -- 22,833 polygons, 30,495 vertices -- 1.82m tall. A flowering plant that is fully mature and in relative health. Useable in most scenes and applications.
-
Thriving -- 23,140 polygons, 30,835 vertices -- 1.82m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 19,708 polygons, 26,151 vertices -- 1.05m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 11,594 polygons, 15,150 vertices -- 1.05m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
-
Dead -- 8,170 polygons, 10,574 vertices -- 76.09cm tall. Showing only dead foliage.
-
Fruiting, Green -- 38,632 polygons, 43,497 vertices -- 1.84m tall. Plant is past its flowering stage and has lost its petals. The flowerheads have become fruit. Fruit are still ripening.
-
Fruiting, Ripe -- 38,632 polygons, 43,497 vertices -- 1.84m tall. Plant is past its flowering stage and has lost its petals. The flowerheads have become fruit. Fruit are ripe.
-
Budding -- 16,231 polygons, 20,099 vertices -- 1.63m tall. Plant is in the pre-flowering stage.
-
Vegetative -- 4,237 polygons, 5,657 vertices -- 82.95cm tall. Young plant still growing. It hasn't developed flower buds yet.
-
Seedling -- 759 polygons, 1,038 vertices -- 23.38cm tall. Very young plant just forming its first true leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 7,808 polygons, 12,666 vertices -- 1.82m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 46,233 polygons, 58,318 vertices -- 1.82m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 23,154 polygons, 32,909 vertices -- 1.82m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 42,271 polygons, 30,373 vertices -- 1.82m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 296,020 polygons, 311,747 vertices -- 1.82m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
