Description
Name: Native Ginger
Scientific: Alpinia caerulea
This Variation: 1 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.
Notes: This plant grows in rainforest, gallery forest and wet sclerophyll forest in eastern Australia. The plant has large arching stalks, each carries a number of large alternately arranged leaves. The inflorescence is terminal on the stalks, and contains numerous white flowers which occur from September to April. The fruit is a capsule which ripen in any month. The fruits are popular with a variety of birds including brush turkeys southern cassowaries, crimson rosellas, and many more. For the Kuku Yalanji people of far northern Queensland, this plant had many uses – the fruit and rhizomes were eaten, the leaves were used to cover their shelters and to wrap meat when cooking in earth ovens.

-
Thriving -- 22,420 polygons, 31,337 vertices -- 2.04m tall. Peak health.
-
Unhealthy -- 17,240 polygons, 23,388 vertices -- 1.75m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased.
-
Dying -- 11,600 polygons, 15,245 vertices -- 93.95cm tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.

-
Seedling -- 734 polygons, 1,007 vertices -- 26.48cm tall. Very young plant just forming its first true leaves.
-
Lower Poly -- 8,662 polygons, 14,489 vertices -- 2.04m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Higher Poly -- 46,155 polygons, 60,078 vertices -- 2.04m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Quads -- 23,100 polygons, 34,288 vertices -- 2.04m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 41,316 polygons, 31,278 vertices -- 2.04m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 303,837 polygons, 320,990 vertices -- 2.04m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
