This is a highly detailed 3D model of a Dandylion, designed for up close photorealism.
The seeds are instanced geometry, and can be individually hidden to make it look like some have blown away. The scene uses Physical Materials with a vray renderer. There are some spare vray materials in the scene if prefered.
The scene is layered, named and organized.
A noise spacewarp modifier effects the seed tips with a polyselect. Used to apply some randomness to the seeds. Be careful not to lose the selection or the noise will effect the whole seed.
The renders here, I did really quickly, but with a bit of care and attention, and a touch of photoshop, your results could be indistinguishable from actual photography.
Some extra geometry is included in hidden layers in the scene. These parts were used for building the scene, including hair modifiers for the seeds. I left them in as they may be useful for restructuring. Otherwise it is safe to delete them.
This scene is very High poly and quite computer intensive. If you have an old system you may struggle, and renders will be slow. If your intention is to fill a field full of dandylions, this model is probably not for you, but would be Ideal for the close up in your scene.
At a later date I will make the obj (included here) available to purchase, seperately, at a lower price. And certainly will do if requested.
