Notes: Flame of the Forest, also called Dhak or Palah, is a slow-growing, medium-sized tree native to India. The tree gets its name from the vibrant red-orange flowers that bloom in from January to April. These bright flowers are used to create traditional colors for Holi, the Hindu spring festival. Flame of the Forest trees are also used for timber, resin, fodder and dye.
