Description
Name: White Fir
Scientific: Abies concolor
This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available.
Notes: A large coniferous tree native to the mountains of western North America occuring naturally between 900 and 3,400m. This tree was used by Native Americans for medicinal use involving powdered bark or pitch to treat tuberculosis or skin ailments. Branches were also used as bedding. Today, it is a preferred construction species because of its nail-holding ability, lightness in weight, and resistance to split, twist, and pitch. It is straight-grained, non-resinous, fine-textured, stiff, and strong. It is popular as a Christmas tree and for Christmas decoration owing to its soft needles, generally excellent needle retention and abundance.

-
Higher Poly -- 971,409 polygons, 1,206,258 vertices -- 60.33m tall. Standard model with more polys for greater detail. Intended for close-up renders.
-
Quads -- 709,195 polygons, 995,256 vertices -- 60.33m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Triangles -- 1,009,455 polygons, 724,328 vertices -- 60.33m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
-
Uniform Mesh -- 799,732 polygons, 944,957 vertices -- 60.33m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.
The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.
