EVERYPlant Great Basin Bristlecone Pine LowPoly 2 --16 Models-- Low-poly 3D model

Description

Name: Great Basin Bristlecone Pine LowPoly

Scientific: Pinus longaeva

This Variation: 2 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available.

Notes: A long-living species of bristlecone pine tree found in the higher mountains of California, Nevada, and Utah. It includes the tree named Methuselah, which is 4,855 years old and has been credited as the oldest known living non-clonal organism on Earth. To protect it, the exact location of this tree is kept secret. The tree grows in large open stands and generally does not form closed canopies, usually covering only 15-50%. The tree is a vigorous primary succession species, growing quickly on new open ground, but is a poor competitor in good soils and the species does best in harsh terrain. It is often the dominant species in high-elevation dolomite soils, where few plants can grow.

Included in this Package: 16 models in total

  1. Standard -- 12,439 polygons, 25,108 vertices -- 16.17m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes.
  2. Thriving -- 12,499 polygons, 25,223 vertices -- 16.17m tall. Peak health.
  3. Unhealthy -- 9,828 polygons, 18,533 vertices -- 15.61m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased.
  4. Dying -- 8,178 polygons, 14,359 vertices -- 15.23m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
  5. Dead -- 5,111 polygons, 6,856 vertices -- 14.15m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage.
  6. Stump -- 1,884 polygons, 2,216 vertices -- 8.32m tall. A dead tree with its trunk broken.
  7. Uprooted -- 5,668 polygons, 7,668 vertices -- 7.45m tall. Dead tree fallen onto its side.
  8. Ancient -- 13,619 polygons, 26,053 vertices -- 16.58m tall. Very old tree, larger and considerably gnarled.
  9. Young -- 6,763 polygons, 15,465 vertices -- 12.67m tall. Smaller, some half way through its maturing cycle.
  10. Immature -- 675 polygons, 1,315 vertices -- 4.36m tall. Very small and young.
  11. Sapling -- 128 polygons, 255 vertices -- 83.05cm tall. Recently sprouted.
  12. Lower Poly -- 9,208 polygons, 21,408 vertices -- 16.17m tall. Standard model with fewer polys to save system resources. Intended for mid or distant renders.
  13. Higher Poly -- 21,124 polygons, 34,676 vertices -- 16.17m tall. Standard model with more polys for greater detail. Intended for close-up renders.
  14. Quads -- 14,491 polygons, 29,123 vertices -- 16.17m tall. Quad polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  15. Triangles -- 23,227 polygons, 25,368 vertices -- 16.17m tall. Triangle polygons throughout (as opposed to mixed, which is much more efficient). Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).
  16. Uniform Mesh -- 11,593 polygons, 24,423 vertices -- 15.17m tall. Uniform meshing throughout (as opposed to adaptive). For easier editing. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge).

Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.

EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
